Last Sunday, a friend and I visited another friend who just gave birth. She was telling us about her adventures in giving birth through caesarean. She was prepared for a normal delivery but due to some unforeseen circumstances, she had to undergo caesarean section. It was funny but somewhat scary also when she told us how she was injected with anaesthesia and its effect was that she babbled on and on during delivery but she can’t remember now anything about it. Furthermore, she related to us how she found it difficult to breathe when she was in the recovery room. She became anxious because of the difficulty in breathing and tried to hold on to the doctors and nurses there. Maybe one of those respironics oxygen concentrators could have helped her breathe more easily during that time. It must be quite traumatic to give birth. Some women have an easier time of it than others but still traumatic nonetheless.
