This is a story I heard while waiting in line for an FX.

There was once a couple. Let’s call them Girl and Boy. While they were already together, Boy’s former girlfriend, X got pregnant. Boy was the father.

(These are my confessions
Just when I thought I said all I can say
My chick on the side said she got one on the way
These are my confessions)

Girl and Boy broke up. However, X did not want to marry Boy just because she was pregnant. So Boy went back to Girl who accepted him back with open arms.

(Reunited and it feels so good
Reunited ’cause we understood
There’s one perfect fit
And, sugar, this one is it
We both are so excited ’cause we’re reunited, hey, hey)

One day, Girl got a new job. She started working in a fastfood chain. Little did she know what fate had in store for her. Fate in came in the form of Guy, a new officemate. Guy took one look at Girl and fell head over heels. He started to pursue her even though he knew that Girl already had a boyfriend. Girl felt torn.

(Its time to choose between the two of them,id better make a start.
Someone help me make up my heart, tell me how to make up my heart.
They say two lovers can be twice the fun.
They think there being smart.Someone help me make up my heart.
Tell me how to make up my heart.)

Finally, she decided to choose Guy. It seemed that she had started to fall out of love with Boy. So Girl and Guy started going out. However, they had no idea how short-lived it was going to be. Early in the relationship, Girl stumbled upon a catastrophic discovery. She was pregnant… with Boy’s baby. She and Guy broke up because of this discovery. As Alanis Morissette said, “Isn’t it ironic … don’t you think?”

(Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face)

Penguins form monogamous pairs for a breeding season. Most penguins lay two eggs in a clutch, though the two largest species, the Emperor and the King Penguins, lay only one. The parents cooperate in caring for the clutch and the young. During the cold season the mates separate for several months to protect the egg. Usually, the male stays with the egg and keeps it warm while the female goes to sea to find food for the baby. When the female comes back, they switch roles. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penguin)

Career Websites

Job seekers of today are so lucky because of the Internet. Seeking work is easier since all you have to do is search the net. There are thousands of career websites worldwide at your fingertips. All that you need is a computer and an Internet connection then you are set to go. Unlike before when aside from poring over classified advertisements of newspapers, new graduates are like door-to-door salesmen hawking their resumes to all prospective companies in one area today and a different area tomorrow, and further afield the day after tomorrow until they finally get that much awaited phone call asking them for an interview.

Now, you cannot only search for jobs within your country, you can even search for jobs abroad while still in your homeland. A Filipino applicant who wants to work in the Windy City can easily look for a job in Chicago through the different career websites specializing in Chicago jobs. What could be more convenient than the Internet?

TV Wall Mount

The first time I saw our new apartment, I was dismayed by how small it was. It was just half of our previous one. However, my mother fell in love with it and she could not wait to own a house of her own. So she dragged me off to help her buy furniture for the house. I am not really interested in furniture shopping, especially when the budget is so limited. I just thought, why not buy a tv wall mount for the living room to save on space. Of course the TV mounts we saw would have looked right at home on hospital rooms and waiting areas. Good thing she did not listen to me. I guess I just do not have talent for interior decorating. Come to think of it, I do not seem to have a talent for anything. Hmmm…
